Every gun-owning parent should be outraged that America’s schools have been co-opted to look like an Antifa rally in the wake of the Parkland high shooting. Forced “walkouts” to protest the Second Amendment and ignorant pleadings by coached teenagers on CNN are maddening, but at least they serve a purpose. Normal Americans now get to see what the anti-gun crowd has really wanted all along (all firearms banned and confiscated so they can make us submit to their Hillary-topia).
If you haven’t heard about what happened to a pro-Second Amendment teen in Middleburgh, NY yet, you should pay close attention to this story. Leftwing “educators” who are cut from the same cloth as the ones in Middleburgh are likely in your child’s school as well.
17-year-old Christian Breault and his classmates attended an assembly on the “National School Walkout for Gun Control and School Safety” at Middleburgh. (George Soros always comes up with catchy titles for his paid protests, doesn’t he?) After they were forced to sit through a vitriolic anti-NRA video, Christian told his classmates that he felt the video was unfair.
A fully-indoctrinated SJW student heard the conversation and threatened Christian, and even informed a school employee that he was going to punch Christian if he didn’t stop speaking out in favor of the NRA. Later that day, the student made good on his threat. He punched Christian twice in the head as he was leaving class. According to Christian’s father, that is when his son clocked the anti-gun attacker and knocked him flat on the ground — one punch.
For defending himself as he was being assaulted and battered, the school suspended Christian for one day (the attacker was suspended for three days). The bigger point, which Christian’s father voiced to the uncaring school superintendent, was that another student threatened his son with violence and even told a school employee he was going to do it, and school officials did nothing to protect him!
Despite everything that the media and its little darling crisis actors are telling us, this debate is not about protecting students. It is about passing unconstitutional legislation to disarm Americans and confiscate our firearms. Schools are supposedly on edge and keeping an eye out to protect the children in the wake of the Parkland shooting, but Middleburgh Jr./Sr. High School obviously didn’t feel compelled to protect a pro-NRA student from being attacked.
Let’s turn this to our advantage. The midterm elections are coming up and we have to draw a line in the sand to make sure that candidates who will support legal gun owners and protect our Second Amendment rights are elected.
Go to the candidate meet-ups and town halls in your congressional district. Look the candidates in the eye and ask them their stance on gun rights.
You’ll likely get an answer that starts with, “Well, I’ve been a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and I am a lifelong member of the NRA.”
If the next word out of the politician’s mouth is, “But” or “However,” then donate all of your available time, energy, spare cash and social media clout to electing his or her opponent. There is no “but” when it comes to the Second Amendment. Candidates for office either support the right to keep and bear arms or they do not. We have tens of thousands of gun control laws on the books and this has never prevented a mass shooting (and the laws never will; only good guys/gals with guns stop mass shootings).
If the wishy-washy candidate is a Republican, feel free to hand them a copy of the Republican Party Platform and refer them to page 9, where it states that the Second Amendment is not negotiable for any American. Feel free to mention that they are in the wrong Party if they don’t believe that Americans have a God-given right to defend their own lives.
In the meantime, if one of your earnest liberal acquaintances says that he or she wants to have a “conversation” about the Second Amendment, just remember what happened to Christian Breault. He was having a conversation about gun rights, and it got him assaulted and suspended from school for defending himself. The conversation is over. The other side doesn’t get to take our guns, period.

I’ve yet to see an AK or clone that I would pay $1,200 for. It is a reliable but inaccurate weapon. The major issue that serves this rifle is the reliability that goes with the frame. Still as ammunition and availability will probably be an issue I’d rather have a simiauto in 5.56 caliber. Accuracy when ammunition is a concern is super important. Currently there are several platforms available that are solid choices. A Georgia company markets a folding stock 5.56 based partly on the FAL rifle and other platforms that are hardier than the AR are also available. Everything being equal I would choose a 7.62 X 51 rifle. Accuracy, long reach and better knockdown power are reasons for considering this caliber and the platforms that use it. Given the availability of ammunition I’d bet on finding more availability of the 7.62 X 51 than any other round outside of the short ranged 5.56 X 45. For many years the 7.62 NATO round has been the hunters choice and many weapons are designed around this caliber. My choice in that range would be the MI A version of the old M14. This is a proven very accurate and tough rifle and as I do not expect to need full automatic it would easily do in a pinch.

I would consider suing the school for not protecting the students as they like to claim. They are pushing their Nazi/Communistic agenda if George Soros is sponsoring this activity since George Soros is of the Nazi mentality. This doesn’t surprise me, I have watched them try and twist the wording of the Second Amendment to fit their narrative for many years. I teach Communication at a university, so I know their tricks. Jefferson clearly states that the reason they added the Second Amendment was to protect us from the tyranny of the Government. This brave young man was not even afforded his First Amendment rights, because he did not agree with their lies, just imagine how we will be treated if they were to succeed at repealing the Second Amendment. There is little doubt in my mind and should be in everyone’s mind this is the work of the oppressive socialists (communists) who pose as democrats here in America. Anyone who is familiar with the history of the twentieth century should realize the only thing that has kept America from becoming socialist/communist is the second amendment in other words the right to keep and bear arms. For well over 70 years now the communist have been working toward the take over America. So far they have not been successful because we have been vigilant. However, this time they have infiltrated the news media (all of the main stream media) our educational system with the purpose of reeducating the public from the children up. They also more throughly infiltrated the government including the democratic party and some republican party members as well (they are the RINO’s of today). However their downfall is they are now acting to quickly. The infiltration is not complete yet. But they have become inpatient. Thanks, in part at least, to obama. Who promised that infamous fundamental transformation as well as the federal police force just as well funded, trained and equipped as the US Military.
Now they have a certain part of the children even marching against guns. However, they are getting ahead of themselves. For if the gun grabbers are successful and get extreme gun restrictions in place it will not happen peacefully. It will cause violent push back for those of us who remember how bloody that 20th century really was and why! It spawned the greatest mass murders in history as dozen of nations registered all the guns. Then systematically confiscated them leaving the citizens defenseless. That happened in Europe, Asia and the far east. That left those nations citizens at the mercy of their respective dictatorships. Consequently, 170 million were murdered in various ways during that period of time by their own government(s). Those murders by-the-way did not include those killed in the Wars.
The twentieth century became the bloodiest century in mankind’s history. If we here in America are not vigilant that may be repeated in the 21 century. I submit our responsibility here in America must stop such a terrible thing from happening again. But will we? With our guns there more armed citizens here then all the standing Armies in the world put together. So we do have the ability if we have the will.
I will and every relative or friend of an NRA member should boycott any and all companies that blame the NRA for any shootings! The NRA is not responsible for these incidents and to blame them for such is absolutely ridiculous!
The NRA defends the second amendment, they do not promote violence! The NRA is a hunter oriented group of American patriots! I am not a member of the NRA and I am also not near as stupid as anyone blaming the NRA for any shooting by any individual!
The NRA nor any member of the NRA is responsible for school or any other mass shooting! The authorities that ignored warnings, the FBI, the Broward County Sheriff’s Department and the on duty resource officer at the Parkland, Florida school, who apparently thought his job was to walk around looking important instead of watching for trouble, are 100% to blame! The NRA is 100% blameless!
Because there was a resource officer on duty at the school, the shooter should never been able to enter the school. I don’t know what steps were taken to prevent this act of violence but it wasn’t enough.
All schools should have cameras that cover every square inch of school property, they should have a central control room located near the main (only) entrance with a monitor watched by a live person every second of the school day and deliveries must be admitted under supervision of a resource officer.
Doors should be locked so that they can only be opened from the inside and any tardy students or visitors must be admitted by a school official, after showing a picture ID. You would be surprised how often a locked door will stop a bad guy!
If you dare to care, be aware, prepare, prevent, lock the damned doors!
Gun control doesn’t work, never has and never will! Background checks are useless, anyone that knows they won’t pass one will not submit to one! If a person wants a gun, they will get a gun, if they can’t buy a gun, they will steal one, then who does the background check? How long is the waiting period?
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people (the citizens of any particular state) to keep (own)and bear arms (carry guns of any type and caliber, anywhere, anytime) shall (absolutely) not be infringed!

We must protect our children with equal force against the killers. Criminals who bring guns into the school to kill, we should kill them back on the spot. I will not yield my gun rights or guns to any government agency for any reason. Our young adults are wrong for demanding a basic right be repealed, because it will make them MORE susceptible to gun violence and injury or death. Criminals do not follow any laws, why persecute millions of legal, honest gun owners for the actions of a few criminals? These gun owners would give their lives to protect our children from being hurt or killed – I know I would. I have children, and I would die for them, to keep them safe.
17 year old Christian Breault should move from NY state because of the poisonous political environment he lives and goes to school in. Teachers across the Nation should be banned from forcing political beliefs on their students no matter what the teachers personal beliefs are. Teachers should be required by law to be apolitical in the classroom.
I moved from NY State in 1988 because I foresaw the coming political attitudes that such an unhealthy State would adopt.
New York used to be a beautiful and healthy state to live in – but now it is a tyrannical slave state that preys on it’s youth in school, adult workers and families. I am glad I moved when I did. I avoided many mistakes the residents made since October of 1988. Liberalism is a correctable perversity.

This type of situation is exactly why we need the 2nd Amendment in our country. To be blatantly attacked, and then for superiors to stand by while this type of action takes place, deserves some kind of response. Who punishes the wronged party. Definitely, the inmates are running the institution.
Public schools are serving no useful purpose in this country. There is no education happening at all. It’s one long stupidity contest. Defund public education now.
Your article is one hundred percent correct. these school teachers have no right to persecute someone with a different view no matter what. That is forced coercion on someones conscience–a criminal act if you will. someone needs to step in and suspend the teachers/faculty who caused this criminal act against our 2nd amendment. Teachers are responsible to protect their students, not punish them for something they believe strongly in–especially an already-established 2nd amendment. I say also get out to the poles and vote these liberals out. Let’s arm some of our teachers and if they don’t want to get involved, then get the ex-military involved in being there at the schools. They said they would do it without cost to the government. What on earth would be wrong with that? if it happens, there will be no more shootings at schools!! And if someone attempt to do it, they won’t be around very long!
