Who Will Die First when SHTF? 4 Types who Won’t be Able to Survive Long

There’s an old saying that we try to remain forever conscious of. It’s “Strong men make good times, good times make weak men, and weak men make bad times.” It’s a cycle. We make our societies as safe and as refined as we can through the sweat of our backs and on the sacrifices of the courageous, but this also leads to weaker generations of men.

Today’s western world has a lot in common with the latter condition of the Roman Empire. Hundreds of thousands of jobs have been exported. Our values are being eroded. The family unit is not respected. It is increasingly popular to shrug off traditional gender roles with the media running stories about toxic masculinity. And uncivilized foreigners who do not love this country are not allowed in en masse.

We aren’t just mentioning these things because they are conservative talking points. This is the checklist of things that you see before a society falls. It is exactly what happened to the Roman Empire.

Knowing the history of the fall of the Roman Empire is important because it has parallels to our nation. If you just give a cursory look at history, you can see that what happened to Rome repeats in every fallen society.

Our point is this, we are seeing the historical signs of societal collapse all around us. We’ve been seeing them for years, and they’re getting progressively worse. Progressively, get it?

So we ask ourselves, what will you do when society collapses? How will you prepare for the shutdown of the infrastructure, the ceasing of essential services, and the rising chaos as people set out to feed and shelter their families by any means necessary? The question we want to answer here is, what does an unprepared person look like, and are you one of those people?

The sad fact is, the first people who will perish in a collapse will be the elderly, the ill, and the disabled. Even those who have strong and capable people around them may not be able to go on for long without medication, special powered devices, and a specialized diet. If you are or care for such a person, you may have to cope with this difficult fact. We tell you this not to be cold hearted, but to prepare your heart.

The second category of people who will be hit soonest and hardest are those who live in government housing and those who are on welfare. In most cases, these are people who, for one reason or another, depend on others for everything they need. When their heat and water are shut down, when their EBT cards become useless- these people are going to panic. But they won’t be able to do anything to help themselves because they’ve never been able to help themselves.

Another type that will be one of the first to perish will be the addict. When people who are severely dependent on alcohol, opioids, and pharmaceuticals cannot get their drugs, they will become sick and die. Those who are addicted to pain killers, heroin, or any of the replacement drugs that addicts are given- will become dangerous. Some will become sick and die, others may become aggressive and get killed.

Then you have your soft footed city dwellers. We’re talking about the peacenik who thinks everything is love and light and refuses to work on their survival skills. These people are unprepared, unable to defend themselves, and they live in cities surrounded by people willing to take advantage of them.

Back in the 1960s, peace-love hippies were common targets for criminals because they were weak and trusting. You’re seeing the same thing now with these crunchy intersectional yoga types who think it’s a good idea to backpack across the Middle East- who all too often get raped, robbed, and murdered.

The solution is preparedness. You want to be fit enough, have a supply of food and water, be able to defend yourself, and have an escape plan. The people who don’t have these things are going to grab on to those who do. And they’re going to create problems.
