Man’s Home Defense Story Debunks Every Anti-Gun Bill Currently Being Debated in Congress

Say what you will about Democrats; they aren’t pushovers. In fact, they show grit, determination and ruthlessness in their political movement. You can see that in how they’ve gone after guns on the state and national levels just in the last two years.

We’re not even two months into 2019 and they’ve made more progress than the last two years combined. It’s getting scary. While they push their false narratives and dangerous agendas, it can feel like those of us who believe in the Constitution are on the back foot.

Sometimes, you have to look at an amazing tale of heroism to find that extra motivation. If the tale also proves the gun-control agenda false, then it’s that much better.

Why Would Anyone Need 30 Bullets?

You hear this argument all of the time. It’s a cornerstone argument for “common sense” gun control. New Jersey, Washington, California have all passed magazine and ammunition bills. The assertion is that you can always win the day with fewer than 10 rounds. After all, a self-proclaimed gun expert shouldn’t need that many shots to kill a bad guy or sack a deer, right?

The only reason anyone would ever need a high-capacity magazine is for a mass shooting according to Democrats. While you know better, this recent story out of Houston puts this entire way of thinking to the lie.

A man (whose identity has not been released) had his home invaded. Masked burglars, armed with guns, came into the man’s home and demanded his money. Pretending to reach for said money, the man instead grabbed his rifle. His home-defense weapon of choice is an AK-47, and he had it loaded with a 30-round magazine.

A gun fight ensued, and the man was able to defend his home and chase the criminals from his property. After all was said and done, five armed robbers had been shot, and three were dead.

It doesn’t take a mathematician to see why the 30-round magazine was so important. Even shooting at a professional level, it would be hard to take down 5 men with only 10 bullets. We all know that. Instead, the simple solution of using a larger magazine saved the day, and five armed robbers were thwarted in their act of violence.

Just Call the Police

Our Houstonian hero debunked two dangerous lies in one harrowing encounter. The second is that no one ever needs a gun. If we ban all of the guns, then you can just call the police and they will save you. Again, seeing through this nonsense isn’t rocket science.

First, at least two of the armed robbers attained their firearms illegally (no information has been released on the others). This continues to prove that gun control only disarms the law-abiding citizens. Criminals have plenty of access to illegal firearms.

Here’s the second issue with this flawed logic. Let’s assume no one in this story had any weapons. The one man would have absolutely no chance at defending himself from the five. Moreover, they were able to surprise him. Do you really think five grown men couldn’t prevent a single person from calling the police? Guns level the playing field and make home invasions far more dangerous for the bad guys. They don’t add danger to the good guys.

We’re not done yet. The third and biggest problem with the “call the cops” argument is clearly outlined in this story. By the time police arrived, three men were dead and two more needed medical treatment. This is always the case with civilian violence. Cops can’t be everywhere, and it’s physically impossible for them to respond fast enough to prevent violence.

You might think that every mass shooting in our history was evidence enough of this. Rather than prevent crimes, police are there to apprehend criminals and stop repeat offenses. That’s how it works.

None of this comes as a revelation to people who actually adhere to common sense. It’s how we’ve managed to prevent the worst kinds of gun control from becoming law (for now). Still, the next time you get dragged into these arguments, you have a compelling, true story to show the gun grabbers exactly how and why they are wrong. One man’s fight for self-defense can help all of us remain safer.

Then again, it’s probably only a matter of time before liberal media tries to brand this Houstonian as a mass shooter. That’s the level of dishonesty they have embraced in this fight, and it’s the level of falsehood you need to be prepared to overcome if you want to protect your God-given right to self-defense.
