David Hogg Ripped by Dad of Parkland Victim over Sickening Tweet
The kids of Parkland, FL, have taught us many lessons. Very few have been the lessons they wanted to preach, but our country is learning nonetheless. It started with the March for Our Lives. Understandably, a bunch of kids who survived a terrible tragedy wanted a sense of agency. They elected to try and take action in order to cope with what they faced and in the hope of preventing similar tragedies in the future.
You’ll notice that no one attributes bad motives to these kids. Almost everyone believes that they began with earnest, good intentions. That does not mean that they did good works. The March for Our Lives didn’t just embrace a flawed premise. That would be excusable. Instead, it focused entirely on misplaced blame and outright slander.
If you remember, Marco Rubio and Rick Scott went to great lengths to engage these understandably upset kids. Rather than maintain a dialogue, they simply demagogued and repeatedly claimed that anyone who doesn’t support their radical proposals is an active and enjoying participant in the slaughter of children. It was a complete breakdown of discourse, and it was so bad that one of the founders of the movement has abandoned the March in shame.
Unfortunately, the majority of March participants have not learned and grown from the experience. The worst offender is David Hogg. Thankfully, his grace period has ended. The people most closely connected to him are tired of his antics and hateful rhetoric. You can see it clearly in this video.
