Americans Being Played for Suckers on Gun Control

Quick quiz: Name the mass shootings that took place during the second half of July 2019 in America. If most of us thought about this question for a few minutes, we would recall that there were two mass shootings during the second half of July: One in Dayton, Ohio and one in El Paso, Texas, within a 24-hour span.

And most of us would be wrong with that answer, because we are being played for suckers by the people in Washington, DC who want to gut the Second Amendment with universal background checks and a federal “red flag” law.

The conventional definition of a “mass shooting” is an incident in which three or more people are shot by a stranger in a public setting. In truth, there were 36 mass shootings across America in the second half of July 2019. There was even one in Washington, DC. But Americans were only told about the two mass shootings which were carried out by white attackers.

We are under a massive rhetorical assault in America right now as the mainstream media and political elites attempt to smear law abiding gun owners as “white supremacists.” None of this is by accident. And there are examples all over the place. The city of San Francisco just designated the National Rifle Association as a “domestic terrorist group.”

A former US Department of the Interior official named Ron Wray penned an op-ed in the Minneapolis Star Tribune on July 29. In the piece, Wray claims that Mount Rushmore was carved by the Ku Klux Klan. The monument features the faces of four “white conquerors” and it was built on “stolen land.” His conclusion is that Mount Rushmore is a “monument to white supremacy.”

Wray doesn’t have any suggestions as to what should be done to the evil monument featuring the faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt. But his sentiment is pretty clear: We should probably sandblast Mount Rushmore out of existence before its white nationalism is allowed to spread any further.

On the anniversary of 9/11, we were treated to even more racist, anti-white lunacy in the pursuit of gun control. CNN ran a segment on how “white supremacists” are the greatest threat to America. On the 9/11 anniversary.

In just a few more years, Mohammad Atta will be getting the George Zimmerman treatment from the media and will be declared an honorary white nationalist.

CNN wasn’t the only entity on the “white people are the real terrorists” bandwagon on 9/11, though. The Senate Homeland Security Committee – which is a majority Republican committee – was all over the narrative as well.

The committee invited three previous Department of Homeland Security Secretaries to testify on terrorist threats against America in 2019. And once again: This was on the 9/11 anniversary.

The committee held the hearing at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in DC. Former DHS Secretary to the Bush administration Michael Chertoff attended, as well as Jeh Johnson and Janet Napolitano, who each served as DHS Secretary under Obama.

So, what is the greatest national security and/or terrorist threat to America 18 years after the 9/11 attacks, according to three former DHS Secretaries?

White supremacy. Global warming was a close second.

All the Republicans on the committee sat there and nodded like dumb people as three former Cabinet members smeared everyday white American gun owners as racists and terrorists.

For posterity purposes, here are the Republican Senators who sat there like idiots and offered no disagreement to the idea that white supremacists are hiding behind every bush in America:

Ron Johnson, Mitt Romney, Rick Scott, and Josh Hawley.

Senators Rand Paul, Mike Enzi, James Lankford and Rob Portman didn’t show up for the hearing. I’d like to believe that at least one of them would have pushed back against that stupidity if they had been there.

As for the 34 mass shootings that took place in the last two weeks in July that the media told no one about, they were all carried out by black shooters. Almost all the victims in those 34 shootings were black. Those 34 mass shootings accounted for 106 people wounded and 17 killed. And the national media didn’t tell the American people about a single one of them.

After 12 black people were shot and wounded by a black man in Brooklyn at the end of July, New York Mayor Bill De Blasio was asked by a reporter if this violence was like the other mass shootings in July, meaning the ones in Dayton and El Paso. De Blasio’s answer said it all:

“We don’t really count them that way.”

If we can’t even have an honest conversation with the elites on gun control, why should we have a conversation with them at all?
