Last weekend, Trenton, NJ, suffered the second-biggest mass shooting we’ve seen so far this year. Are you ready to argue that fact? Odds are that this is the first you’ve heard of the event. Shock aside, a little over a week ago, a shooting took place at the Art all Night Trenton festival. At least 22 people were injured in the shooting, and one person was killed. The deceased was one of the shooting suspects and is believed to have died from police gunfire.
Another shooter was apprehended at the scene, and police are still investigating the involvement of additional shooters. Overall, this is a major event in gun news, and yet, the extreme anti-gunners are silent. Let’s talk about that.
Media Response
Despite the magnitude of this event, major outlets have been largely silent. The highest-profile coverage so far was a New York Times article that wasn’t included in primary circulation. Despite how close this was to home, the NYT’s didn’t cover it for the majority of their subscribers. The only article is hidden in the depths of their website.
To make matters worse, they outperformed the rest of mainstream media in their coverage. Most news outlets had nothing at all to say on national coverage, and a few other websites have opinion pieces rather than “objective” coverage. This is a huge mass shooting that they could use to push their gun agendas, and instead they have tried to keep you from knowing about it.
The Wrong Narrative
The biggest reason for their silence is that this doesn’t fit the narrative. This wasn’t a lone white guy with an AR-15 gunning down the masses. It also didn’t have a high enough body count. While more than 20 people were shot, only one died. That doesn’t paint a scary enough picture of guns and random violence.
It’s also clear that this event wasn’t intended to target the festival. Instead, it was a case of gang tensions boiling out of control and erupting in gun violence. Worst of all for mainstream media is that none of the proposed “common sense” gun control measures would have impacted this shooting. The known shooters are convicted felons and illegally obtained their hand guns.
The Racist Media
Of course, there’s another big reason this wasn’t national news. The suspects are all black. While that doesn’t matter to most reasonable Americans (a bad guy with a gun is a bad guy regardless of skin color), the mainstream media has committed to a narrative that they refuse to abandon.
It goes like this. Liberal media claims that there is a mass shooting almost every day in America. Now, you already know that over 90 percent of these shootings are the result of gang violence (a problem largely unique to America). But, the media refuses to acknowledge that fact. Instead, they want to claim that more than half of all mass shootings are perpetrated by white men. These two statistics very clearly don’t ad up, but they stick to it nonetheless.
So, in order to try and deceive the masses, they alter their coverage to pretend gang shootings don’t happen and only middle aged white men are guilty of deadly crimes in this country. It’s all ridiculous. We know that when you include gang statistics, over 90 percent of mass shootings are perpetuated by minorities. But, once again, this doesn’t really matter. Gang violence is the problem, and the media’s absolute refusal to acknowledge that slows any widespread effort to deal with the problem.
While none of this is surprising, the sheer effort behind the fake news movement merits our attention. They’re willing to ignore an extraordinary mass shooting that could be used to push for stricter gun control or law enforcement because it doesn’t fit with their ideals. This is further proof that they have neither the intent nor the desire to provide you with facts. They are a propaganda machine, and they have been for some time.
Their manipulation of the truth is beyond despicable, and we have to put a stop to it by voting with our dollars. Don’t let them get ad revenue by clicking on their links. Don’t engage with them at all. Never let them get another cent from you!

I don’t understand this because the CBS nightly news covered this story as well as my local CBS news. CNN also covered it. That’s the first I heard of it on CNN. I have no idea if the other major channels covered it but I do know CBS and CNN did. Tonja
IF they did in fact cover the incident, it was only a brief report and they did not ram the report down the throats of the American people. They are going to be reporting this incident in Md for at least a week and will have some hammerhead being interviewed thinking that he/she is a well seasoned reporter using BIG words and what ever other narrative that was fed to them by the reporting station.
This is another example of liberal news bias not covering an event that destroys their slant on reality when it comes to gun violence! A practice that is all too familiar today. Shame, Shame on them!

Just another day in urban NJ, Darwinism at its finest. Was news in NJ but not the headline-generating event that the media circus would’ve turned it into if the shooter and victims were while. The state with some of the toughest gun laws in the country, bet we’ll hear about it when Murphy takes away more rights of law-abiding citizens who then become victims of this daily carnage.

Not sure your take on this is accurate. Your slant is as obvious as the biased media. Try an unbiased approach – we can’t stomach any more biased agendas.
The point is not that one person in each state heard about it…… rather where is the following 30 days of incessant drum beat by the Liberal Dimmocraps that usually follows as is pointed out! You neglected to add that the fact that t his took place in New Jersey, a state that is VERY anti-gun.
It is next to impossible to get a carry permit, not only for the average resident, but even for long time correctional officers to carry off duty.
And when it is possible, it’s pretty expensive and, I believe it takes more than a year to get.
What is the characteristic ammo! If 9mm forget it! What is the price?????? Good show.
