The Liberal Hypocrisy on Safety
With the mass shootings that have recently become the forefront of the news and media, liberal anti-gun activists have proceeded to seize on the tragic situation to push for their long-sought goal of disarming and systematically stripping law-abiding citizens of their 2nd amendment right to bear arms.
Unfortunately, this is not just about removing citizens rights to participate in gun sporting activities such as hunting and target shooting but removing their constitutionally protected right to protect themselves and their loved ones.
Instead of finding the true source of these tragedies and exploring a way to rectify them, they choose to prey on the fears that are currently gripping the nation and giving them a scapegoat by referring to gun organizations such as the NRA and other gun-rights groups as accomplices to murder and holding them responsible for the tragedy instead of placing the blame with the individual who sought out a way to harm and terrorize the people of America.
Isn’t Everyone Against Gun Violence?
The moment one of these tragedies occurs, marches and protests begin with liberal politicians pushing for their constituents to protest gun violence. What these anti-gun activists fail to realize is that all law-abiding citizens are against gun violence.
There has become an association with fighting to protect your gun rights equating to the same thing as being in favor of gun violence with only those who are for gun control being against gun violence. In the end, it all boils down to the same goal, being able to have protection and feel safe.
No one is in support of gun violence and accusing gun rights groups of being pro-violence or accomplices to gun violence is nothing more than a blatant attack to push their ideals. Gun rights groups and gun supporters strive to promote proper gun safety as well as fight to protect the rights of individuals who want to ensure their protection from criminals, who are the only people truly in support of gun violence.
They Blame Other for What They Failed to Accomplish
Not only do liberal politicians put the blame for tragedies such as the Las Vegas and Parkland shootings on the shoulders of groups such as the NRA, but they also wag their fingers pointing blame at Republican lawmakers who they accuse of failing to respond to the “gun violence.”
The liberal journalists and politicians never ask why nothing was done on the issue of gun violence when the Democrats not only had control of the White House but of the Senate and House as well. When the question does arise, it is often said that the Democratic members were fearful of losing their seats. So it is easy for them to blame others for what they could have tried to accomplish but were too afraid to do anything that they would bring risk to themselves.
Their Views Are Often in Direct Contradiction of Each Other
Don’t ban abortions because women will just seek them out anyway, but making guns illegal will make criminals engaged in illegal activity unable to obtain them. Extensive background checks need to be done in an effort to limit the number of people allowed to purchase guns, but you shouldn’t be able to ask a person for identification to see if they are legally allowed to vote.
Gun-free zones will reduce the amount of violence though many mass shootings occur in these gun-free zones. They believe that arming Syrians is necessary so they can protect themselves, but they don’t feel American citizens should have the same right to defend themselves. These are just some of the many contradictions that have been stated by liberal politicians and supporters.
They Enjoy the Protection They Want to Take Away From Citizens
There is a continued push by liberals to remove a citizen’s right to self-protection through the use of firearms, but they enjoy the protection of armed guards and security when they travel. This is probably one of the biggest hypocrisies of all. Many liberal politicians and their families are protected on a daily basis by armed security details. So while they are entitled to use guns to protect their life and the lives of their families, the average American citizen should not be afforded the same rights.
In conclusion, the liberal hypocrisy on safety can be summed up in the words of David Harsanyl of the Federalist who stated, “It is almost humorous reading someone advising you not to worry about domestic tyranny as he explains why the state should eradicate a constitutional right and confiscate your means of self-defense.”

One thing to be remembered. Essentially, the stock and trade of the anti gun side is emotional hype and plain old fashioned lies. Facts that argue against what they are selling, as facts tend to do are simply ignored, especially when there is a passing heart string to be plucked. I could say more, but enough said.
