Magazine Uses Black on Black Crime Stats to Blame Gun Violence on White Men

Do you get the feeling that, perhaps, the establishment anti-gun progressives in this country do not like white men? Greater Good Magazine, published in Berkeley, California, certainly seems to have it in for white males.

The magazine promises to offer its readers “Science-Based Insights for a Meaningful Life.” That sounds a bit bland, but possibly interesting, on the surface. But then the magazine publishes articles with titles like, “Seven Insights to Help You Make Sense of Gun Violence,” which helpfully explains that white men are the cause of gun violence in America. Thanks, Berkeley!

The author of this self-loathing “scientific” article is Jeremy Smith, a white guy. His bio tells us that he is the author of a book titled, “Are We Born Racist?” On another side note, we don’t want to have to focus so much on race when it comes to this issue, but the anti-Second Amendment crowd insists on going there by demonizing and vilifying white people; if you want the unvarnished truth on the matter, you’ve come to the right place.

Smith plays fast-and-loose with statistics and pulls the usual bait-and-switch as he attempts to pass it off as “science.” The article is chock-full of statistics about murders in heavily black communities, which Smith does not mention, but then he blames all the gun violence on white men.

For example, Smith runs through the “violence only begets more violence” argument, but tiptoes around the issue of who is shooting whom. He cites a study in Chicago which found this scenario: If a person in your social network is shot, the likelihood that you will be shot skyrockets over the next two months.

Chicago, which is a gun-free zone, had 625 gun homicides in 2017 and 2,936 people shot and wounded. That’s an average of one murder every 13 hours and a shooting every three minutes. The white men in Chicago are running amok and must be stopped!

But out of ALL the Chicago homicides in 2017, only three assailants were identified as white men. Ten were Hispanics and the rest were black men. You won’t learn that in Smith’s article, however, because he never mentions the racial makeup of the shooters versus shootees in his setup.

Then, Smith cites another study from 2012 in which 85 percent of all shootings in Boston occurred within a single social network. Greater Good Magazine‘s details on this study are kind of fuzzy, however, so we looked up the study itself. It turns out that the social network with most of Boston’s shootings is in the Cape Verdean neighborhood. Cape Verdean has a heavy concentration of blacks descended from Cape Verde, in West Africa, which is no doubt why the magazine left that tidbit out of its article on dangerous gun-owning white men.

After avoiding the facts (black on black crime in heavily black neighborhoods is horrific and out of control), Smith devolves into the same old tired arguments that the progressives have been labeling gun owners with for years — white men view guns as a way to regain their masculinity, white men own guns because they are impotent, blah blah blah. If you are a white male and gun owner, you are compensating for something, in other words.

The real push to demonize white male gun owners began after Stephen Paddock (and possibly an accomplice, but who knows since the FBI still hasn’t released any details) opened fire on a country music festival in Las Vegas last October. Yet for every Stephen Paddock in the news, there are a host of non-white immigrants and second-generation immigrants who commit mass shootings in America.

Remember, gun-grabbers, these are your rules and you want to identify shooters by race, so here goes. Here’s a list of high-profile mass shooters, their country of origin and in some cases, their race (to eliminate any confusion):

Omar Mateen (Afghanistan), Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malek (Pakistan), Chris Harper-Mercer (British, half-black), Mohammad Abdulazeez (Kuwait), Elliot Rodger (Malaysia), John Zawahri (Lebanon), Pedro Vargas (Cuba), Aaron Alexis (Barbados), One L. Goh (South Korea), Eduardo Sencion (Mexico), Nidal Hasan (Palestine), Jiverly Wong (Vietnam), Seung-Hui Cho (South Korea), Chai Vang (Laos), Salvador Tapia (Mexico), Colin Ferguson (Jamaica), Peter Odighizuwa (Nigeria), Kesler Dufresne (Haiti), Henry Obotetukudo (Nigeria).

We left a couple of white males off the list, but those are most of America’s mass shooters since the year 2000. Remind us again, Berkeley, about how dangerous white males are, please. And in case it needs to be restated once again, Berkeley: No, you can’t have our guns.

This kind of crap is just what we need.South Africa went from a white government, to a communist anti-white regime which now is sanctioning the killing of white people and taking their lands. If you are foolish enough to believe that this couldn’t happen in America, you had better start paying attention. The democrats want the guns of people that are law-abiding, but eventually they will be targeted by the nuts that try to make local laws which eliminate the Constitution as the law of the land.

People that spin the truth about subjects so that their view is the best view should not be able to comment on anything, let alone write “scientific” blogs or papers. This just makes all Americans look stupid and uneducated to other countries. Keep your comments to your self and don’t keep trying to force them on other people.

I’m not supporting the extreme anti-Second Amendment commentators, but It seems disingenuous on your part to list names of shooters and then leave off three prominent ones that don’t fit your argument: Adam Lanza (Sandy Hook), James Holmes (Aurora, CO), Stephen Paddock (Las Vegas).

Sometimes the crap that comes out of people’s mouths is unbelievable. It’s pathetic that a school like Berkley Calif. is so jaded in their view, that they would resort to skewing the stats. How can they truly call themselves, an institution of higher learning?

The hell with the University of Berkeley , they are nothing but a bunch of America hating whiny bitches that hate the country but Love the freedom the true Americans paid for in blood.
They helped the VC buy providing supplies to kill Americans (known fact). They think that they deserve to have everything handed to them on a silver platter. I got news for you butter cups, you don’t deserve to lick the sweat of an American service members nut sack even if you were dying of thirst. So Berkeley if you want’em and think your ass can take’em come on. I have lots of wild hogs that would appreciate all the fresh meat thats going to be laying around.
God bless America and Semper Fi
