Good Guys (& Gals) with Guns, Takin’ Out the Trash

Admit it: You love stories about defensive gun use just as much as we do. We get hammered over the head endlessly about the dangers of guns because of rare, isolated incidents like school shootings.

Meanwhile, millions of Americans use their guns lawfully and for defense of themselves, their loved ones and their neighbors – but those stories never get mentioned. Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite defensive gun uses in recent weeks. Enjoy!

That Special Feeling When Your Pants Fall Down during a Robbery

An armed robber had a really bad day in Denver when he tried to rob an e-cigarette store. He marched up to the store counter, pulled his gun out of his waistband and, BLOOP! Drops his gun. The gun bounces off the counter and then bounces waaay back behind the clerk. The clerk picks up the gun (it turned out to be a BB gun) and the robber realizes it’s all going to hell in a handbasket, so he runs for the door.

Proving that American kids have seen way too many movies, the thug jumps in the air to karate-kick the door open on his way out… and his pants fall down. Police are still searching for the Bruce Lee wannabe.

HVAC Repairman to the Rescue

Neighbors say a trespasser “went bananas” and started biting a woman in her yard in Shallotte, NC last week. The attacker then ran across the street and started banging on another woman’s front door, trying to gain entry. An HVAC repairman in the neighborhood took out his concealed Glock and approached the snarling trespasser. The repairman fired one shot and put him down. It was a really good shot, too, considering how fast the 12-inch-tall Macaque monkey was moving. CCW vs. escaped monkey. Good times.

Hot Lead at the Waffle House

A robber walked into the Waffle House in Villa Rica, GA and pulled out his BB gun to rob the place. (What is it with these criminals and their BB guns? Don’t they know they could put their eye out with those things?) One of the waffle connoisseurs was also a concealed carry holder, so he took out his gun and blasted the robber.

Georgia, by the way, is a Stand Your Ground state where it’s okay to shoot bad guys if you’re defending someone else’s life – so no charges were filed against the waffle-loving patriot. The robber fled in his car and was found dead in the next town over.

First Time for Everything

A Chicago motorist drove around the corner on a busy street and ended up in the middle of a gunfight. He saw a gunman blazing away at a wounded police officer who was down on the ground. Without hesitation, the gun owner hopped out of his car and fired three times at the criminal, striking him once. The good Samaritan then rushed to help the wounded officer until paramedics and more police arrived.

And get this – the good Samaritan has been a gun owner for 16 years and had never fired his gun before. Not even at the range! Nice shooting for his first time out. Police are hailing him as a hero obviously, and no charges were filed because he had jumped through the many, many hoops to get his CCW in Chicago.

Sometimes, Guns Are for Revenge

This last story is not really a “defensive” gun use, but it’s a great story that highlights the importance of gun ownership. Journey with us, if you will, to the exotic land of Livingston, TX. The mayor is an 80-year-old great-grandmother who loves her town, her family, and her miniature pet horse.

One day three years ago, a giant alligator ate the mayor’s pet horse. This set Mayor Judy Cochran on the path of vengeance (which we are totally cool with, by the way). This story practically mirrors the plot of John Wick, only Keanu Reeves is an 80-year-old woman and the Russian mobsters are a giant alligator. With us so far?

After years of searching for the monster that ate her miniature horse, the mayor finally hooked the massive gator in September, using a raccoon carcass for bait. She blasted the 12-foot gator with her rifle and finally avenged her pet horse. The gator weighed 580 pounds and the mayor plans to make boots out of it. Because that’s how grannies roll in Livingston, TX.

Stories like these especially the last one make me happy & sad. See I remember my Dear Old Granny being very much like this lady & she was a no nonsense person when it came to protecting her own whether it was her pet, family member or friend. The happy part is she was just fun to be around even when I screwed up & had my tail lite up like a Christmas Tree. The sad part is she gone now & so are the morale principles of that era, but I am happy she is gone because today’s new Socialist Left Wing Millenniums would have killed her straight away.
